I used Photoshop CS4 to expand the dept of field of the photo.

Dissecting flowers

Today I got some flowers in order to search for some nice looking pollen. I should have probably checked which species have interesting pollen shapes, because I only found boring, rounded shapes. Luckily flowers also have other parts, so there you are, a few pictures:

epidermis of a tulip petal

epidermis of a hyacinth petal with visible stoma here and there and some air bubbles

and last comes my personal favourite. I'm not sure what it is, probably some floral part, found in honey.

I want to use what's left of the flowers to learn how to make stack images. More pictures soon:)
